Special Info:  In 1987 the house was completely renovated by Linda Kerkera who ran it as a Bed and Breakfast starting in 1990.  All of the original woodwork was saved, restored and reused. W. O. Perkins, who built many of the homes (and courthouse) in Eureka Springs, built the home for his aunt, Annie Perkins.  In the 40's, it was bought by a family who sold it to Linda in 1987.
Note: A grand-daughter of Roy Walker (second owner) told me that W. O. Perkins, when
he built the home for his aunt and uncle Arthur and Annie Perkins, insisted that only wood would be used with no knot holes.  Well, the kids made a game of trying to find the knot holes any time they spent the night with their grandparents.  She said they never could find any knot holes.  Now, my grand-son tries to do the same thing.
In 1994, James and Becky Taylor bought the house to run as a Bed and Breakfast.  We actually stayed with Linda one time and then with Becky and James(Sony) 15 times before buying the Bed and Breakfast from them in 2001.
