Hello Dan,
My name is Jon Wyly, living in the Kansas City area, and my wife and I absolutely love Eureka Springs and it’s history. We are collectors of interesting Eureka Springs memorabilia, (we have Carry Nation’s player organ) and wondered if you might have any information on the Poe Funeral Parlor. We have a glass sign from that business that appears to be from around 1900-1910, and are interested in any background you might have on the business. The sign offers special funeral for $39.00 and beckons patrons to go down stairs (not at all unusual for Eureka Springs!)
I have included a photo in case it might be of interest to your historical research, and would appreciate any thoughts you might have on it’s history and date, or where we might seek that information.

Barbara,
Thomas Gray lived in Eureka Springs for nearly thirty years, his son who is my Great Grandfather Frank Gray was the water boy for a hotel there, this had to be around the 1880s. Frank Gray was born in 1869. In the 1890s Frank was back in Searcy County while Thomas Gray was still in Eureka
Springs. Thomas Gray's third wife was Mary Jane Rogers, the mother of Frank Gray. Thomas Gray's fourth wife Margaret is the one he is buried beside at Eureka Springs. Susan told me that there are no pictures of Lucien Gray, photographer.
This is a pictures of my G-Great Grandfather Thomas Gray. (Note: photo not received)

"My husband and I were down this weekend on our Honeymoon, and we were just leaving the downtown area, and think we were on Benton St. and off to the left we saw a cleared path and stoped. There was a old stone mail box at the road, and futher down there were stone's sticking out of the ground and what looked to be old fire places and maybe a tombstone that read Gus L. Lind. Also a old mid 40's or so Plymoth Truck laying among the debry. When searching around, we came across a very old fork...maybe cast iron or silver. We were wondering what used to be there and if there was a story or pictures that went with this question of ours. Thanks and hope to hear back. Thank you & God Bless,"
Darren and Laura-
